Micro Measures to Boost India in SAARC Region

India is one of the major member/ contributor of SAARC region. Other countries in SAARC are growing very aggressively to capture the market share. India has a huge potential to support them in their growth.

Overseas Citizens travelling in SAARC has viza for either one of the country didn’t have to obtain viza of other country. Likewise if we see following are quick snap points I feel Ministry of Finance should initiate to boost the economy with Ministry of External Affairs.

For e.g. easy remittance of export of services including advances. For e.g. CA firm providing niche/ boutique services to say Bangladesh is not able to receive advance fees from their clients be it a service receiver into service/ manufacturing/ trading/ any other business.

To talk with counter parts of SAARC members to get waiver of reverse charge mechanism in case of import of services. This will make Indian professionals/ service providers more competitive to deal with SAARC member countries. India has huge revenue potential from IT, finance consulting and Media in SAARC region.

Multiple visit viza for business purpose to be introduced for SAARC members to travel within SAARC region.
